Hubby found this place first. The store is small but has interesting items. If you are searching for spices or meat cuts, this location is popular. There are many types of rice and ethnic ingredients. You can also find jewelry, hand made items and clothing.

I've gotten carryout from this location a number of times so this review is primarily for the food: The food here is about a 3.9 stars for me. I always get the veggie platter, and it's good but nothing quite stands out. But the clear standout for it is the food portions AND pricing. Totally unbeatable. The service is always friendly, but sometimes they can be slow to have your order ready from the kitchen in the back, and they don't always pick up the phone. The grocery side of the place always has a good selection of fresh injera.

Love the carry out Veggie Combo! So good and so much food. I love Ethiopian food and recently discovered this great little market in the White Oak shopping center. They may have other prepared food for carry out, but there doesn't seem to be a menu or if there is, it isn't in English. A little intimidating if you don't speak the language, but worth going there just for the veggie combo.

Love this place the injera is fresh and the hambash is fresh although I wish they would make it with raisins some times. We did they made hot food until a month ago. Now we are regulars for their Kitfo and veggie combo It's fire!!! They are also not stingy with the serving size. Remember to tell them I sent you!!!

I discovered this place by accident while i was at the shipping center.. The store is pretty nice full of ethiupian food and products, injera bread was fresh and abundant. The store is very clean and well organized by aisle for food dessert household stuff etc. There were lines for the 6feet cdc recommendations distance which i really liked.. The check out person was extremly nice and friendly, he asked me if i found everything ok.. Absolutely good ethiupian store/mart..

OK, I may be drunk on Adarash Market's spicy and wonderful Dulet dish to give it a 5-star after my first visit. I can tell you though that this shop is deceptively boring looking with no kitchen nor tables for eating in sight. You want freshly cooked foods? Ask the cashier for a menu. Don't know what to order, just approach a customer and ask away. He/she can translate for you. That was how I placed my order. The place makes fresh spongy bread and another flat and round type that so is fragrant. My ignorance about Ethiopian foods may make someone laugh but the quality of the bread and the Dulet dish I had was no laughing matter. Even though I live on the opposite side of the beltway from this place, I will be back to try other dishes on the menu. I am so glad I just found a gem in Silver Spring!

You guys have no idea how happy it makes me to have delicious Ethiopian food less than a mile away. I saw a sign months back that advertised Adarash opening soon, and every week I would check in. I'd walk by the shop, peer inside, walk back to the car disappointed...then boom, one day it was open! So I walked in and instantly felt little bubbles of happiness. I could smell the amazing spices and it reminded me of a better time, you know, when we didn't have to worry about bills and most of us were awkward looking and we thought we knew everything...but then reality hit and we realized nope, we knew nothing. Childhood, it reminded me of childhood. So anyway, I perused the aisles and saw all the familiar spices and bags of fresh injera...sigh. There's nothing like injera with yogurt and salad. It's so simple yet delicious. So in addition to ordering the veggie platter to go, I also purchased an array of spices and a bag of fresh injera. The man who rang me up is seriously one of the most friendliest people you would ever meet. He mentioned other dishes that were available (mostly containing meat) in case I wanted to try that too. Mentally, I keep telling myself to try it next time, but the veggies are just SO GOOD. Tasty lentils and beets and cabbage (side note: I hate cabbage but I LOVE the way it's made here) and, well, just look at my pictures and you'll see :D I promise, if you like Ethiopian food you will LOVE this market! Keep in mind that it's more of a takeout place, not an actual sit-down restaurant.
